The Dimensity 9300 chip crushes cents; 10% faster than the new Snapdragon

MediaTek will soon unveil the Dimensity 9300 as its latest flagship processor. Contradictory rumors say that this processor will be equipped with four main Cortex-X4 cores, four intermediate Cortex-A720 cores and only two low-power Cortex-A520 cores in the CPU unit (and maybe no low-power core at all).

Account Digital Chat Station In the social network, Weibo says that the clock speed of the CPU unit in the Dimensity 9300 processor will be 10% higher than Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.

MediaTek wants to use 4+3+1 configuration. The new processor of this company will have one 3.25 GHz Cortex-X4 core, three 2.85 GHz Cortex-X4 cores and four 2.0 GHz Cortex-A720 cores in the CPU unit and will be equipped with Immortalis-G720 graphics.

Leakers say that Qualcomm’s 3rd generation Snapdragon 8 processor is likely to be built with one 3.19 GHz Cortex-X4 core, five 2.96 GHz Cortex-A720 cores, and two 2.27 GHz Cortex-A520 cores.

At the moment, it is not clear how the difference between the cost of production and the price of the new MediaTek and Qualcomm CPU will affect the price of different phones. Qualcomm processors usually cost more than MediaTek.

The arrangement of the CPU cores in the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor looks quite familiar, but MediaTek is looking to break the traditions in the Dimensity 9300. Using four powerful Cortex-X4 cores and minimizing the low-power cores is a risky decision; Because the processor’s energy consumption may increase too much.
