Apple released the Vision Pro software development kit;  Hardware kit coming soon

Apple announced at the WWDC 2023 conference that for the first time since the Apple Watch, it will launch a completely new hardware product and operating system. After several weeks, the visionOS software development kit is finally available to developers, and they can now sign up for the visionpro hardware kit.

Apple has also announced that it will open 6 developer labs around the world. By visiting these centers, developers can develop and test Vision Pro applications through cooperation with Apple.

According to ZDNetDevelopers can use familiar technologies such as Xcode, SwiftUI, RealityKit, ARKit, and TestFlight to build Vision Pro applications. These technologies, along with the Reality Composer Pro tool, help developers build applications in 3D.

Apple plans to make the visionOS emulator available to developers. This simulator includes different virtual rooms with different lighting so that developers can make sure that their app works well in all conditions. Apple also provides tools for developers to provide features for people with disabilities.

Starting next month, developers who build 3D apps with Unity will be able to port those apps to Vision Pro. Additionally, Apple has released the visionOS design kit for the Figma platform.

The visionOS software development kit and the new version of Xcode and Reality Composer Pro and simulator tools are available to users of the Apple Developer Program service.
