The new appeals court ruling means that Apple will no longer be able to sell the Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2, which are equipped with blood oxygen monitoring systems, in the US market. The ban initially began last month, but Apple was able to quickly put a temporary stop to it. The sale ban had increased the price of Apple’s smart watch on the black market.
The US International Trade Commission (ITC) ruled in 2023 that Apple is not allowed to import the Apple Watch into the US market due to the violation of Massimo’s patents. Massimo, which was written by a person named Shirazi Joe Kiani is managed, has accused Apple of stealing trade secrets.
In order to avoid financial loss, Apple will probably sell the modified Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2 models without the Blood Oxygen app while continuing to file an appeal.
