The Setapp app store is coming to iPhone to compete with the App Store

MacPaw Inc In a statement announced that it has released the Setapp software store in beta form and wants to release it publicly for iPhone users in April 2024.

Setapp is currently only available for MacBook and gives users access to over 240 different apps for $9.99 per month. This store offers a selection of practical applications and design software.

Setapp on iOS, like macOS, will require a monthly subscription fee, but its price is currently unknown. Pricing will be in line with standard subscription rates, says MacPaw’s product marketing manager.

Instead of users paying for each of the applications they want, they can download those applications by paying a monthly subscription.

In January, Apple announced that it would allow iPhone users in Europe to download alternative app stores in order to comply with the European Union’s Digital Markets Act (DMA), which takes effect this month with the release of iOS 17.4.
