The performance of new generation Intel processors decreases in Windows 10

Intel used the x86 hybrid architecture for the first time with the 12th generation Alder Lake processors. Intel processors used to have identical cores; But from the 12th generation onwards, they went for a combination of high-power and low-consumption cores. Intel also made changes in the non-original parts of its 12th generation processors, which are called Uncore.

Apparently, one of these changes has caused a number of processors based on Intel’s hybrid architecture to not perform properly in Windows. In some instances, the problem has also led to performance delays.

The publication Neovin Citing YouTube channel Tech YES City, it writes that the main problem is related to the input/output (I/O) driver of the System Agent section (one of the Uncore components) in Intel processors. This section has been moved outside the CPU unit in the 12th and 13th generation Intel processors.

Tech YES City, by conducting a latency test on Intel processors, found out that the mentioned problem is mostly seen in the Windows 10 operating system. This problem has also been seen in Windows 11; But in a more limited way.

Apparently, Intel has optimized the Thread Director system of its hybrid processors in collaboration with Microsoft to solve the problem; But the problem of slowness of Intel processors has not been completely solved.
