Microsoft breathes new life into Windows 10 with Copilot artificial intelligence

Microsoft has announced which plans to bring Copilot artificial intelligence assistant to Windows 10. In an unexpected move, the Redmonds will soon release Copilot to Insider users of Windows 10 version 22H2. This action occurs while Microsoft announced the end of Windows 10 updates for some versions a few months ago.

Aaron Woodman“This is a key opportunity for us to bring the value of Copilot to more customers,” said VP of Marketing for Windows. Microsoft is looking to bring its AI tools like Copilot to the millions of desktops and laptops still running Windows 10.

Copilot in Windows 10 will work exactly the same way it works in Windows 11. The assistant comes with a button on the right side of the taskbar that allows the user to quickly access the chatbot.

“There are differences between Copilot in Windows 10 and Windows 11, so naturally things you can do in Windows 11 that you don’t see in Windows 10 won’t be in the smart assistant,” Woodman said.
