How does Zoomit check smartphones?

CPU performance is checked using the GeekBench 5 cross-platform benchmark in the form of two single or multi-core tests. Geekbench is one of the most popular benchmarks in the mobile world and is available for Android, iOS, Windows, Linux and macOS platforms. Geekbench uses three types of Crypto, Integer and Floating Point processing loads to evaluate CPU performance:

  • Crypto: measures the device’s ability to process computational loads based on cryptographic (encrypted) instructions. Only some software uses crypto instructions.
  • Integer: measures the device’s ability to process computational loads based on Integer instructions. All software uses the Integer instruction; Therefore, getting a high score in this section means a very good overall performance of the processor.
  • Floating Point: Measures the device’s ability to process computing loads based on Floating Point instructions. Almost all software uses the Floating Point instruction; But processor performance is important in processing such loads in cases such as video games and digital content production.
