Explosive sales of Apple Vision Pro: 180 thousand units in 3 days

Explosive sales of Apple Vision Pro: 180 thousand units in 3 days

Apple has been making headlines in the tech media in recent weeks with its Vision Pro mixed reality headset, and we see new reports about this product every day.

Ming-Chi Kuothe well-known analyst, has presented his view on the sales volume of Vision Pro, which shows that this device has faced high demand from buyers.

According to Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple has sold about 160,000 to 180,000 units of this mixed reality headset in the first pre-sale series of Vision Pro. Cuo says the Vision Pro ran out of stock as predicted immediately after pre-orders went live, and now takes between five and seven weeks to reach customers.

According to Ming-Chi Kuo, the end of the initial inventory of the Vision Pro and the extension of the release time of this product seem positive at first glance, but at the same time it causes concern, because the date of sending Apple’s mixed reality headset to customers remains unchanged until 48 hours after the start of pre-orders. In other words, the demand for Vision Pro has probably decreased rapidly after the pre-orders of Apple’s Pro-Purpose fans and professional users.

Apparently, Vision Pro pre-orders have dropped off after the initial explosive demand

The stock of the popular iPhone models will also run out immediately after the pre-order starts, and the time to send this product to the customers will increase to several weeks just a few hours after placing the orders.

In contrast to Vision Pro, in the case of iPhones, usually 24 to 48 hours after the activation of the pre-purchase option, we see a steady increase in the time of sending to customers, which shows that even after the initial sale, the demand for these products continues to grow.

Companies in Apple’s supply chain, including Lockshar, will be working overtime in the new year to meet existing demand, meaning demand for the Vision Pro is better than expected.

Lockshar has been working full-time overtime since the start of mass production of Apple’s mixed reality headset to offset the impact of current production line efficiency, meaning there is still room for improvement.

According to Ming-Chi Kuo’s claimEven achieving the sales record of 500,000 units of Vision Pro in 2024 will not be very challenging for Apple, but since it is possible that after the initial sale, we will see a decrease in the demand for purchasing the said headset, to obtain more accurate statistics, data from different markets and Keep an eye out for updates to Apple apps.

Apple has a very large user base of over 1.2 billion active users, and if only about 0.007% of those people are willing to buy the Vision Pro, sales of this product could meet expectations.

The price of Apple’s virtual reality headset is $3,500, which seems very high compared to the price of competitors’ virtual reality headsets, such as Quest 3 or Quest Pro.
