Apple’s patent description states that this system also uses input images from other devices. Apple may mean compatibility with iPhone and iPad.
According to ZDNet, Apple’s next iMacs will have a modern body with semi-transparent sections to match the image playing on the back. The iMac in question has a glass layer to cover the magnetic charging system to charge other devices wirelessly.
According to the patent, Apple’s iMac will have a 3D sensor to produce a 3D map of foreign objects and recognize their location.
What Apple has demonstrated is currently in the patent phase, and many patents never become actual products.
