Full performance reviews of the Nvidia RTX 4060 have yet to be released, but the green team has provided access to the graphics card to a number of companies and select journalists. A YouTuber named JayTwoCents has shared some benchmark results and comments on the RTX 4060, showing its performance while playing Cyberpunk 2077.
The performance of the RTX 4060 when running Cyberpunk 2077 at 1080p resolution is about 27% improved compared to the RTX 3060, which looks like an attractive one-generation upgrade and matches Nvidia’s previous benchmarks.
The score of the overclocked RTX 4060 version seen in the JayTwoCents test was not very impressive. According to these statistics, the energy consumption of the graphics card increased by about 20%, but its frame rate went from only 81 to 82.5.
As TomsHardware Explained, the performance of the overclocked version of the RTX 4060 is not surprising and in fact will not disappoint many users. This graphics card is more efficient than its RTX 40 series brothers and can work at a higher frequency with more energy consumption.
Perhaps the most important thing about the overclocked version of the RTX 4060 is how it handles ray tracing. JayzTwoCents does not recommend RTX 2060 or RTX 2060Ti graphics cards to use Ray Tracing technology. He says that this feature is improved in RTX 3060 but not enough.
We must mention that Cyberpunk 2077 is a very heavy game and supports Ray Tracing, Path Tracing and DLSS 3. Nvidia probably plans to allow its business partners to test the performance of the RTX 4060 in certain games and show off the ability of this graphics card in the best mode.
