Vivo also progressed in the Indian market by selling 28.6 million phones, 3% compared to its 2022 sales.

The sales of Xiaomi phones in the Indian market decreased by 15% compared to 2022 and reached 25.1 million in 2023. With a 16% drop in sales compared to 2022, Realme closed its phone sales record in India in 2023 with 17.4 million phones.

India’s smartphone market in 2023 decreased by 2 percent compared to the previous year. Overall smartphone sales in India fell to 148.6 million units, down from 151.6 million units sold in 2022.

Samsung’s all-out policy has paid off for the sale of its flagship phones. The Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus, and Galaxy S23 Ultra sold 1.4 times more than the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22 Plus, and Galaxy S22 Ultra in India.

The Samsung Galaxy S23 FE model helped Samsung’s sales in India a lot thanks to attractive discounts and more affordable prices than other brands’ phones.
