Using a drop hinge reduces the thickness of the device, reduces screen creases and allows the two halves of the laptop or phone to be closed without a gap; For this reason, Samsung’s decision to use this hinge design seems logical.

Some experts do not consider the unveiling of a laptop with a drop hinge to be a good idea; Because they believe that this design will increase the weight of the device and the less folding of the screen is not a priority for laptop buyers.

The Galaxy Flex Note may be unveiled by next year. Speculations about the unveiling of this laptop are not based solely on patent or trademark registration. Samsung has shown the prototype of the mentioned laptop many times.

Samsung’s foldable laptop was first displayed at CES 2022, and then we saw the prototype of this laptop at MWC 2023; A 13-inch foldable laptop that can be turned into a 17-inch wide tablet when opened.
