Copy Instagram captions and comments

Now you can paste the copied title or comment anywhere you want. Note that captions can also be copied on the Instagram mobile site; So, if your goal is just to copy the title, you don’t need to choose the desktop site option.

To copy Instagram captions and comments on iPhone like the previous method, open the desired post. Tap Copy Link in the three-dot menu and then proceed with the following steps:

  • Open the Safari browser on the iPhone.
  • Paste the copied link into the address bar and log in to your Instagram account if necessary.
  • Tap the Aa button in the lower left corner.
  • Now select Request Desktop Website option.
  • To view comments, put the screen in landscape mode.
  • Then select and drag the text to highlight it.

Copying Instagram captions with the Photos app

Since Google Photos is integrated with Google Lens, it allows you to scan and copy text on your photos. Similarly, Apple introduced Live Text with iOS 15, which intelligently recognizes text on images.

All you have to do is take a screenshot of the post or comments section and use Google Photos or Apple Photos to extract the text from the image. In the following, you will see the steps to do this.

  • To get started, take a screenshot of the caption or comments of the Instagram post.
  • Now open the Google Photos app on your phone.
  • Find the desired screenshot.
  • Then tap the lens icon at the bottom. You can also do this using the Copy Text option after selecting the photo.
  • Google Photos automatically detects the text in the image.
  • Now select the relevant comment or title and tap Copy.
