In an online event, in addition to the Redmi 11 Prime 4G and Redmi 11 Prime 5G phones, Xiaomi announced another phone called Redmi A1 unveiled for the Indian market. This new device is considered the first phone of Redmi A series products. These products are supposed to target the budget phone market.
According to GizmochinaRedmi A1 uses a 6.52-inch LCD display with a resolution of 1,600 x 720 pixels (HD Plus) and a teardrop notch, and is equipped with a MediaTek Helio A22 processor, LPDDR4x RAM, and eMMC 5.1 storage memory.
Redmi A1 uses the MIUI user interface based on Android 12 and offers an experience close to pure Android. Running this version of Android will likely make the Redmi A1 perform better than some of Xiaomi’s previous budget devices.
Redmi A1 is equipped with a dual camera on the back panel. The main camera has an eight-megapixel sensor and a wide-angle lens, and the second camera uses a two-megapixel sensor. The front panel of Redmi A1 hosts a 5-megapixel selfie camera.
Redmi A1 uses 4G network, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GNSS, 3.5 mm headphone jack, and supports micro SD memory card.
Redmi A1 uses a 5,000mAh battery with 10W fast charging. Xiaomi says the charger is in the product box.
redmi The A1 is available in a configuration with 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage in blue, black and green colors. The price of Xiaomi Redmi A1 is 6,499 rupees ($81). The release of Redmi A1 will start on September 9, 2022 (19 Shahrivar).
