Winners of the 2022 bird photography competition

Bird Poty has entries from all over the world. This year, more than 20,000 images were submitted to win the Bird Photographer of the Year title and a grand prize of £5,000.
Erland Harberg, a Norwegian photographer who captured a great-legged grouse in flight over a winter mountain scene in Tysforden, Norway, has been announced as the grand prize winner. This photo also won the birds gold in the environment category.
Gold Award Winner and Bird Photographer of the Year
Harberg says:
On this particular winter day, I was on my way to the top of Mt. I had almost reached the top when I saw some grouse footprints in the snow. It wasn’t long before a bird flew into the dramatic backdrop of the harsh environment he calls home.
The title of “Young Bird Photographer of 2022” was given to the 17-year-old Swiss photographer. Levi Fitts Awarded for a picture of a black-bellied tern battling a sandstorm. You can see the winners of all categories below.
