Nvidia has not released many details about the new RTX 3090 Ti; But in his speech at CES 2022, he said that more information about this graphics card will be announced in January. January has passed and we still do not know what Nvidia will do with the RTX 3090 Ti and what we have heard so far is not encouraging.
In early January, there were reports that the RTX 3090 Ti GPU had been discontinued, indicating that Nvidia had asked its partners to discontinue production for the time being. Earlier rumors had it that the graphics card would be released on January 28; But obviously this did not happen and the company did not comment on its production status.

The channel claims, citing internal sources, that Nvidia’s flagship graphics card has technical defects and that the company has been forced to stop production to fix the problem. Although the problems with the production of the RTX 3090 Ti seem to have been resolved, Nvidia may have another problem: the lack of Ampere GA102 GPUs. The problem of global chip shortages is not new; But if this is true, Nvidia will not be able to produce enough of that graphics card. Also, because the RTX 3090 Ti uses the full GA102 format or 450 watts of power consumption, there may be some unforeseen problems in the production of this graphics card that have brought us to the current point.
If Nvidia fails to produce enough of the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti graphics card, the brand’s partners may be ready to launch their own versions of the Ti 3090. As previously reported in the January report, MSI is one of these manufacturers and appears to be working on the RTX 3090 Ti Suprim X 24G graphics card.
Although the specifications of this GPU are not yet available, we have no doubt that the graphics card will be very powerful. The MSI flagship graphics card will likely be priced at $ 4,500; But according to some catalogs, this product may even sell for $ 6,000.
