The first model of Biofire Tech’s 9mm Colt is expected to ship in the fourth quarter of 2023 to those who have pre-ordered the product. According to Biofire Tech, in the second quarter of 2024, we will see the mass release of the gun with a price of $1,499.
Biofire Tech’s new product is set to be the first commercial smart gun in the US market since Armatix’s limited release in 2014. At least two other American companies, LodeStar Works and Free State Firearms, are trying to launch smart guns.
