Samsung sued for misleading buyers of 4K QLED TVs in the US

A new US court case claims that a number of Samsung TVs do not have the features advertised. The case, which has become a class action and is represented by Ray Kim Law, is suing Samsung and Best Buy.

Accordingly, some Samsung 4K QLED TVs sold through Best Buy are said to lack Motion Xcelerator Turbo+, FreeSync, and HDMI 2.1 ports.

Narrated GizmochinaMotion Xcelerator Turbo+ improves the image frame rate by injecting new frames in the middle space of existing frames. Thanks to Motion Xcelerator Turbo+, Samsung TV users can watch video content more smoothly.

Also, FreeSync, developed by AMD, synchronizes the refresh rate of the display with the frame rate of the video so that the image looks smooth.

Another feature that is not seen in some Samsung TVs is the HDMI 2.1 port. HDMI 2.1 supports higher resolutions and frame rates than HDMI 2.0, allowing for 4K/120fps or 8K/60fps video transmission.

At the moment, the exact model of the televisions mentioned in the court case has not been announced. More details will be available in the coming days as the case is unsealed.
