Motorola previously announced that the Edge series will receive major OS updates every three years. The Edge 20 series received two years of software updates in 2021.
Despite launching with Android 11 and then updating to Android 13, it is unlikely that this phone will receive Android 14; Unless Motorola changes its update policy.
Motorola is notorious for releasing updates late. Android 13 was announced in late August 2022, and phones began receiving the update in January 2023.
As a result, it’s reasonable to assume that Motorola phones won’t receive the next software update until early next year. Although the release date of this update has not yet been announced, it can be assumed that it will be released in late January 2024. However, Motorola might change its plan and decide to release the new update sooner.
