For some time now, various reports about clamshell smartphones have been published in cyberspace. A new report from Gizmocchina now reveals a rendering of the company’s upcoming Honor Magic Fold 5G smartphone.
In terms of design, the Honor’s future clamshell smartphone is similar to Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold series. According to reports, the company plans to launch another clamshell phone that will have a different folding form.
According to a recent trademark, Honor will launch the Honor Magic Fold smartphones as well as the Honor Magic Wing smartphone to compete with similar handsets from brands such as Samsung, Huawei and Xiaomi.
According to rumors, Magic Fold Honor will be equipped with an 8-inch screen with a resolution of 2200 by 2480 pixels. Its hardware power will be provided by an octa-core processor with a 3.13 GHz Cortex A-77 core, a 2.54 GHz Cortex A-77 three-core and a 2.05 GHz Cortex A-55 core.
The Honor Magic Fold is said to have 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The future clamshell phone will likely use a 108-megapixel main camera and a 16-megapixel front-facing camera for taking selfies and making video calls.
Magic Fold Honor will probably be released with Android 11 operating system; But it is expected that it will use Android 12 until the release of the device. The power required by this phone will be provided by a 4500 mAh battery with support for fast charging technology.
The introduction of clamshell smartphones could help it increase its market share in China. The brand currently has 15% of the market share and has become the third largest smartphone company in China, followed by Vivo and Oppo.
