The Oppo Find N folding screen is made by Samsung Display

According to Gizmocchina, OPPO started the OPPO INNO DAY 2021 conference today. The company has issued several announcements and the star of this exhibition is a foldable phone called OPPO Find N, which will be unveiled tomorrow. Earlier, a report was released by suppliers of the display of the company’s first clamshell smartphone.
According to The Elec, the upcoming OPPO Find N uses a 7.1-inch foldable OLED panel made by Samsung Display. Instead of a polyamide layer, this screen is protected with UTG (ultra-thin glass) for scratch and drop resistance.
It goes without saying that the 5.45-inch external OLED panel is made by BOE. In addition, the foldable internal display uses a 120Hz refresh rate. However, it consumes less energy; Because it uses LTPO (low temperature polycrystalline oxide) and TFT (thin layer transistor) technology.
So far, Samsung Electronics has been the only manufacturer to use UTG and LTPO technology in its folds. The OPPO Find N clamshell phone will be the first Chinese brand to offer this advanced clamshell technology.
According to the report, even Xiaomi and Vivo will use Samsung Display displays for their future folds. For those who do not know, TCL CSOT has provided clamshell and external screens for Xiaomi’s first clamshell smartphone, the Mi Mix Fold.
It is said that Xiaomi’s future Mix Fold 2 will enter the market with an 8.01-inch OLED folding screen with Samsung-made UTG technology. However, its 6.52-inch external OLED display makes it a TCL CSOT.
Finally, Vivo uses a Samsung-made internal display and a BOE external display to build its future clamshell phone. Huawei abandoned plans to use Samsung’s display earlier this year and chose BOE instead. It is also expected to use BOE to build its display.
