Soroush Plus in response to Satra’s claim: We have not asked Satra for a license

Following the story of the arrest of the CEO of Soroush Plus messenger that was published yesterday (December 13), Satra announced in a short article that Soroush Plus “requested from Satra to issue a license, but due to the lack of approval of the published content, the license request was rejected.”

In the text published by Satra, it is stated: “Satra, as an institution that oversees the activities of cyberspace content, does not compare with anyone and prevents the spread of unethical content, and uses all its capabilities with the divine power.” He will use what he considers to be his legal duty to fix this department and he will not fail in this regard.

This organization has also clarified regarding the name of Soroush Plus messenger, which is mentioned in some media as “Soroush”: “What is mentioned in the media as Soroush is not correct, but it is the matter of Soroush Plus, the case regarding its ownership is being processed in the judicial system and is still pending. It has not come to a conclusion and basically, the management and monitoring of the content of this messenger is not in the hands of Sada Vasima organization.

The Organization for the regulation of pervasive audio and video in cyberspace also claimed that Soroush Plus “applied for a license, but the request for a license was rejected due to the disapproval of the published content.”

This organization has explained that, based on its legal duty, regarding the publication of inappropriate content, it has “several times given a written warning to the responsible manager, and the advertisements of this platform have not been accepted due to weak monitoring and inappropriate content.”

Although Satra claimed that he was responsible for monitoring Sorushplus messenger and did not issue a license for this platform; But the problem is that the laws related to social networks and internal messengers do not assign the duty of monitoring or licensing these platforms to Satra.

Satra, as one of the sub-groups of Sedavsima, has duties in the field of issuing licenses and monitoring home television networks and its content, but of course, there are doubts about this duty, at least from the activists of the home television field, and some people consider the legal nature of Satra to be ambiguous and questionable. they know.

In response to the article published by Satra, Soroush Plus messenger pointed out the same issue and rejected the permission request by this platform from the organization for regulating the regulation of pervasive audio and video in the virtual space.

Today (December 14), Soroush Plus wrote on his page on X social network (former Twitter):

In the continuation of this text, Soroush Plus also called issuing licenses for messengers not Satra’s duty, but one of the responsibilities of the Supreme Council of Cyber Space and wrote: “It is surprising that this organization has given itself such a position in the field of social networks; While basically, the regulatory responsibility of this area is with another organization according to the resolution of the Supreme Council of Cyber Space.
