In fact, we can mention the first generation of the AirPod as the inspiration for the design of many wireless headphones and even the AirPad Pro, and now the third generation of the standard AirPod is based on the same design. Now, interesting CT scan images of the first generation of AirPad, AirPad Pro and AirPad 3 have been released, which can show a complete view of their changes.
The pictures show that the internal battery is the largest component used in the first generation of the AirPad, which occupies the entire space of the long stem. In the case of the phone, there is an Apple-specific H1 chip and at the bottom, there is a microphone. This is while we see a lot of changes in AirPad Pro. In fact, the AirPad Pro was the first major redesign of Apple’s wireless headphones, forcing the company to completely overhaul the internal structure and placement of parts. Apple shortened the design of the long stem of the AirPod and the classic EarBud in the AirPad Pro; But naturally, installing a battery to charge enough in a smaller stem could also be a major problem. Apple also downsized various components on a PCB or printed circuit board to make it smaller. Also, the AirPad Pro had an Adaptive EQ, which was made possible thanks to a new, new microphone built into the handsets.
Not to mention that removing the battery from the base of the AirPad Pro allowed Apple to install force-touch sensors in the area, allowing users to push the AirPad Pro to pause music, call Siri, and more. However, it seems that Apple has also changed the placement of the AirPad 3 microphones compared to the original AirPads and has now raised them.
As mentioned earlier, the third generation of standard AirPads is inspired by the design of the AirPad Pro; But there are also components from the first generation of these headphones. In fact, this is the most important upgrade of the standard AirPads since the launch of the first generation in 2016. This means that the new Cupertino headphones have a smaller stem; But unlike the AirPad Pro, it lacks silicone pads.
Unlike the AirPad Pro, which has mostly uncut stems, the CT scan shows a third-generation AirPad full of components and several sensors similar to first-generation AirPads. The images come as Apple looks set to make a number of changes to the next-generation AirPad Pro. The new AirPad Pro could have a rounder design that would make it more like Bates’ latest wireless headphones; But Apple will have a hard time embedding powerful hardware in a small round chassis.
