Since its inception in 2012, the APA has launched architectural photography in languages with the help of the World Architecture Festival (WAF), the largest annual international architectural event. This year, an architectural photography competition was sponsored by WAF and Aluprof UK.
APA writes:
Pictures of the created world are everywhere. These structures are used beyond the world of architecture and design. We can see buildings in financial advertising, cars, travel, and so on.
The aim of this organization is to increase awareness about the skills and abilities of photographers who interpret and explain the personality, details and environment in two readable and conceptual dimensions.

Lynn Bryant, The founder of APA, says the idea of the contest was to give people a reason to look deeper and longer at images, and to slow down their navigation. This is especially common today where the audience is surrounded by an influx of images such as Instagram.

Architecture is much more than a collection of walls. Architecture is layered and pursues a goal.
With that in mind, Bryant hopes to give the audience the opportunity to slow down, learn from them, and appreciate the work of photographers and architects.
