Samsung’s roadmap shows that DDR6 memory will reach 10 GB/s by 2027

According to Samsung’s roadmap for DRAM memory, the capacity of these chips will reach 3 GB to 4 GB. Also, the data transfer speed on these memories will be between 6.4 and 8.2 gigabits per second. In the field of video memories, next year we will see the release of the new generation of GDDR7; Therefore, the new version of AMD and Nvidia graphics will probably use GDDR7 graphics memory.

Additionally, Samsung has presented its long-term outlook for the memory chip market. The company plans to release DDR6 memory in 2026 and achieve 10 Gbps speed in 2027. These memories will actually be the fifth generation of DRAM that are produced with the 10 nm process. The company also shared its flash memory roadmap with V9 NAND chip in 2024.
