Samsung Odyssey Neo G8 introduces world’s first 4K monitor with 240Hz refresh rate

Samsung today unveiled three new models from its 2022 monitor suite. The screens are scheduled to be officially unveiled at CES 2022 Las Vegas between January 5th and 7th.
The first new Samsung monitor is called the Odyssey Neo G8, according to GSM Arena. The 32-inch display has 4K resolution, 240Hz refresh rate, 1000R curvature and quantum mini LED backlight. The mini LED backlight system uses units that are 1.4 times larger than conventional LEDs.
The Odyssey Neo G8, with Samsung’s Quantum Matrix and Quantum HDR 2000 technology, can reach a maximum brightness of 2,000 nits while playing HDR content. In addition, the backlight of this monitor can be adjusted between 4096 levels.
The Odyssey Neo G8 offers two HDMI 2.1 ports and a DisplayPort 1.4 port. Also, the Auto Source Switch + feature automatically switches input sources by turning on devices connected to the monitor. CoreSync also adjusts the RGB light on the back of the monitor to match the contents of the screen.
The second new monitor is called Samsung M8, which uses a built-in webcam. This webcam is compatible with the Google Duo app and can be used for video calling and video conferencing. This product allows you to use it as a smart TV by taking advantage of pre-installed applications; You will not need to connect to the source device.
The monitor screen is 32 inches and supports UHD resolution, and in addition, there will be wireless remote control in its packaging; Just like what comes with Samsung TVs.
The other monitor that Samsung introduced is called S8. This monitor is available in two sizes of 27 and 32 inches with UHD resolution and for content production. The S8 is the first underwriters from the Underwriters Laboratories.
The S8 monitor supports up to 98% of DCI-P3 color space coverage and is VESA DisplayHDR 600 certified (32-inch model only) and Ethernet. The device uses a USB-C interface and can be connected to laptops that support this input to send audio and video signals to the monitor and data to Ethernet. In addition, with this connection, the S8 monitor can charge the laptop with 90 watts of power.
Finally, it should be noted that these monitors will be released in the first half of 2022. More information about them will be presented at CES 2022.
