Razer’s 4K webcam frees content creators from DSLR cameras

Unveiled at CES 2023, the new $299.99 Razer Kiyo Pro Ultra 4K webcam is available now and brings professional DSLR-like quality to your video calls. Razer says its new webcam is equipped with a 1.2-inch Sony Starvis 2 sensor. This is the first time that such a large sensor is used in webcams. The Razer 4K Webcam has an f/1.7 aperture lens and creates the bokeh effect in a natural way. This aperture probably makes the Razer webcam perform very well in low-light environments.

According to VergeLike most webcams today, the Kiyo Pro Ultra is designed to free content creators from expensive DSLR cameras. The new webcam looks like a DSLR camera lens. We first saw this design in 2021 with the Kiyo Pro webcam, which recorded video at 1080p resolution and 60fps frame rate.

It is difficult to distinguish the Kiyo Pro Ultra from the previous model. The new model makes it possible to block the path of the sensor. The user can physically block the view path by turning the webcam.
