Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip will probably be introduced on November 24

MediaTek’s latest flagship chip for Android phones was unveiled this week, and now Qualcomm is gearing up for its new chip, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, which will reportedly be unveiled on November 15.

Before the unveiling, details about the new Qualcomm chip have been published. Yesterday, SnoopyTech tweeted the name of the chip, which comes as no surprise. The next generation is called “Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 mobile platform”, as it was revealed from last year’s announcement. According to rumors, this chip will include Arm’s new Cortex-X3 core, four Cortex-A715 cores and three Cortex-A510 cores.

Last year’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip was a significant upgrade compared to its predecessor; But later he faced problems with heat. Qualcomm later updated the design with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, which benefited greatly from the move to TSMC’s more efficient 4nm process. Battery life was a particularly big improvement.
