AMD will kill Intel next year with Strix Point chips

AMD is likely to make available its new generation of accelerated CPU and GPU-equipped APUs in 2024. This new family of red team chips is known as Strix Point (Ryzen 8000 series).

Strix Point is AMD’s newest family of mobile processors (by mobile we mean portable devices like laptops, not smartphones). These processors have appeared in rumors many times.

According to the claim A whistleblowerAMD will use Zen 5 architecture in the CPU unit of Strix Point chips and RDNA 3.5 architecture in the graphics unit. These two processors will have 12 and 16 cores respectively. One of the Strix Point models has a power of 45 watts and is probably made for laptops rather than desktops. This chip has 16 computing cores.
