Android contacts app may reveal your location

The idea of being able to use the Google Contacts app to find the location of your friends or family members sounds very interesting. Now Android users have received this feature in version 4.22.37.586680692 of the mentioned application.

You can check which version of Google Contacts is running on your phone by going to Settings > Apps and then selecting Contacts. On the app details page, scroll down to see the version number.

The location sharing feature of Google Contacts is available only to those contacts who have shared their location information with you through Google Maps and their Gmail address is visible in the contacts card. If this is the case for some of your contacts, you’ll see a small section at the bottom of the page dedicated to sharing your Google Maps location. This feature shows whether the other party has the ability to see your location and if so, for how long he will have access to said information.
