OnePlus terminated support for OnePlus 6 and 6T software

In July 2021, OnePlus released its updated software maintenance program, promising three major Android upgrades and four years of security updates for its flagship devices. However, the new program does not apply to some of its older flagships. According to xda-developers, OnePlus only promises two major operating system upgrades and three years of security updates for the OnePlus 7 series, while the old OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T are not even mentioned in the upgrade.

However, OnePlus has recently released a security update for these two models, which includes Android security patches for November 2021 (November and December 1400) and bug fixes. Unfortunately, OnePlus has now confirmed that this is the latest official software update for the OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T, and the company will not release any other device updates.
