List of motion gestures to control Apple Watch

  • Open the Settings app.

Control Apple Watch with motion gestures

When you raise your wrist, a blue Visual Signal ring appears around the Apple Watch screen, indicating that AssistiveTouch is turned on.

To activate AssistiveTouch, quickly punch your hand twice. After enabling AssistiveTouch, a focus ring will appear around the first item on your screen. The focus ring indicates that you can tap the highlighted item by moving your hand.

You can change the color of the visual signal in the clock settings:

  • Go to Accessibility and tap on AssistiveTouch.
  • Click on Color and choose your desired color.

To turn off the visual signal:

  • Go to Accessibility and tap on AssistiveTouch.
  • Tap on Hand Gestures and enter the Activation Gesture option.
  • Disable Visual Signal at the bottom of the screen.
