Nvidia unveils RTX 3090 Ti; Giant graphics with faster memory and performance

Without elaborating, Nvidia unveiled the powerful RTX 3090 Ti graphics at its press conference to mark the start of CES 2022. The GPU giant has announced that it will soon share the technical specifications of this graphics.

Recall that Nvidia currently has the RTX 3090 at the top of its GPUs, a little lower than the RTX 3080 Ti and RTX 3080. All three of these graphics use the GA102 chip, and things like the number of active cores, frequency, and memory distinguish them. With the advent of the RTX 3090 Ti, Nvidia’s graphics ruler will change.

Like the RTX 3090, the RTX 3090 Ti uses 24GB of GDDR6X video memory; Except that the memory bandwidth has changed from 19.5 to 21 Gbps. Nvidia says the new graphics can process 40 teraflops of shading operations, 78 teraflops of beam tracking operations and 320 teraflops of tensor operations (artificial intelligence); The numbers for the RTX 3090‌ were 35.6, 69.5 and 285 teraflops, respectively.

According to Nvidia, the RTX 3090 Ti is expected to improve performance by about 12.5% compared to the RTX 3090; However, it is not clear how Nvidia achieved this number.

RTX 3090 Ti graphics use all 84 GA102 chip processors; The RTX 3090, on the other hand, used 82 processors. Nvidia says that in addition to increasing memory bandwidth, it has also increased the graphics operating frequency; With a cursory glance, one can guess that the RTX 3090 Ti is now running at 1850 MHz.

Nvidia says it will share more details about the RTX 3090 Ti this month; So in the near future we will probably study things like the exact technical specifications and price tag of this powerful graphic.
