WhatsApp status is one of the features of this messenger that was introduced in 2017 and was inspired by Snapchat stories. WhatsApp today unveiled the Voice Status feature; An attractive feature that allows you to use voice messages of up to 30 seconds as your status update. Users can record audio notes in this section by tapping on the microphone icon on the status screen.
Status updates provide more personalization capabilities to the users of this messenger; Because not everyone wants to use text or graphics in this section. WhatsApp started testing this feature last month in its beta version of Android and IOS.
The audio status comes months after WhatsApp noticed a significant increase in the use of its platform’s audio features. The app announced in March that its users send an average of 7 billion voice messages per day.
