New design tools will be added to WhatsApp soon

New reports claim that WhatsApp is working on new design tools for images and videos. While WhatsApp has long offered media drawing capabilities, it does not currently allow you to resize pencils. However, this may change soon; Because new evidence in the latest WhatsApp beta shows that other pencil options are being developed.

According to xda-developers, WhatsApp is planning to add two new design pencils (three in total) to its built-in media editor. As you can see in the image below, the three pencils have varying degrees of thickness, allowing users to draw thicker or thinner lines on images or videos. When you send an image or video to someone, you can access new pencils from within the media editor. These tools are currently under development and have not yet been activated on WhatsApp.

In addition, WABetainfo reports that WhatsApp is also working on a new feature that allows users to blur images before uploading. At first it was thought that this feature is only for iOS, but the latest evidence shows that it is going to open its way to Android devices as well. The ability to blur images directly from the image editor will be useful when sharing screenshots or images that may contain sensitive information. Currently, many WhatsApp users rely on interior pencils to hide sensitive information in an image.

It is not clear when these new features will be enabled in the WhatsApp application. As always, new features will most likely have to go through the trial phase first and then enter the devices of more users around the world.

WhatsApp has continued to introduce new features and improve its app in recent months. The messenger recently added a new voice note player to iOS that lets users listen to their voice memos in the background. Other added new features include additional options for disappearing messages and the integration of Novi Wallet for payments in the United States, and the ability to preview voicemails before sending.
