NASA solar probe touched the sun

The Parker probe, which was sent into space to study the sun, was able to successfully enter an area of space that no spacecraft had previously entered. In fact, this NASA probe is the first spacecraft to pass through the outer atmosphere of the sun or the solar corona.

The solar corona is a very hot environment around the sun that is created by the eruption of flames on the surface of the sun.

The scientists announced this news a few hours ago during the meeting of the American Geophysical Union.

The Parker Solar Probe is visiting a very hot environment around the Sun, known as the Crown

The NASA space agency described the achievement as a major step for the Parker probe and a huge leap forward for solar science.

In April 2021 (April 1400), NASA’s solar probe passed through the upper atmosphere of the sun called the corona several times. It took several months for the collected data from the Sun to reach Earth, and NASA will need another few months to analyze and verify this information. This probe is respected Eugene Parker, American astrophysicist, Parker is registered, which is equipped with a special heat shield to protect against high temperatures and intense solar radiation, and was launched into space in 2018 (1397) from Cape Canaveral, Florida.

According to digitaltrends, this probe was able to approach the solar corona up to eight million miles from the center of the sun on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 (December 14, 1400).

The data comes from the spacecraft’s eighth attempt to get closer to the sun and pass through the solar corona, and NASA hopes to use the data to learn more about the nearest star to Earth, its impact on the solar system and the solar storm.

Solar storm is a term coined by Eugene Parker to describe the high-velocity flow of the sun’s particles, which strikes the aurora borealis and sometimes disrupts the operation of satellites, electric currents, and communications systems.

Parker accelerated to 213,200 mph (about 343,000 km / h) in one of its initial laps, and is expected to reach 430,000 mph (about 692) on its last flight in 2025 (1404). ومتر000 km / h).

Justin Casper From the University of Michigan on Parker’s first entry into the solar corona, he said:

This crossing took about five hours. Although five hours is a short time, Parker’s speed is so high that it has come a long way.

In the following video, we get to know more about the recent achievement of the Parker solar probe, and at the end, we see some incredible videos of Parker passing through the solar corona:

The moment the Parker solar probe touched the sun is a remarkable historical moment for solar science and a masterpiece. This achievement marks a turning point in human history and not only gives us a deeper insight into the evolution of the sun and its effects on the solar system, but also helps us to learn everything we know about our star from other stars.

Joseph Smith, director of the Parker program at NASA, added:

We look forward to more of this spacecraft in the years to come.

What do you think of NASA’s achievement and touching the sun? What information will this spacecraft provide to humanity about the evolution of the sun?
