A day in the life of Tim Cook; What does the CEO of Apple do on a daily basis?

Running the biggest company in the world takes a lot of work; Including waking up early. Tim Cook, the CEO of Apple, wakes up before sunrise and starts his day by reading hundreds of emails from clients before hitting the gym. At work, he works long hours and attends long meetings.

Tim Cook in an episode of the podcast Deva Lipa “I wake up really early,” she said of Dua Lipa: At Your Service, which aired in November. He added that he usually wakes up between four and five in the morning. He believes that in the early hours of the day, he is free to spend his time as he pleases.

Quoted from Business InsiderCook told The Australian Financial Review in 2021: “I can control the morning better than the night and the day. Things happen throughout the day that derail you. The morning belongs to you, or should I say the early morning belongs to you.”

“I spend the first hour of my day reading email, and I care a lot about it,” the iPhone creator said on Deva Lipa’s podcast. I read a lot of emails from customers and employees, and customers let me know what they like or what they want us to change. Employees also give me ideas. It’s a way to keep in touch with the community’s feelings, and I enjoy it.”

Cook continued: “I spend an hour working out in the gym. I usually do strength training and have someone really push me to do things I don’t want to do. “During this time, I do nothing and I never check my phone and I’m completely focused on training.”

The Wall Street Journal reported in 2014 that Cook did not exercise on Apple’s campus, instead going to a gym where he was less likely to run into his employees. In 2018, he said in an interview that exercising helps him control his stress.

A 2014 Wall Street Journal article reported that Cook’s weekly meetings could last as long as five or six hours, and that he was known for endlessly questioning employees.

An Apple executive said in an interview: “A number of us had Mets (New York baseball team) tickets. After the end of working time, he still asked us one after another; While we looked at the clock like children in school. I still remember Tim saying, “Okay, next page,” as he opened another can of energy. “We also lost the Mets game.”

CNN Money reports: “Cook is known for long, uncomfortable silences in meetings, and the only sound you can hear is the popping of energy cans he’s constantly eating. Therefore, the employees had learned to prepare for the meetings, like taking an exam.”

In 2014, the Journal reported that in addition to the energy that he eats during the day, he likes foods like chicken and rice for lunch and eats it with company employees; Unlike Steve Jobs, who usually has lunch with design chief Jonathan Ive.

“I divide my day based on whether I spend time with the product teams or the marketing team or the executive team,” Cook added in the podcast. In these meetings, we’re either working on day-to-day issues or hopefully our balance is more on working on future products.”

When he was the operations manager, he was known to be one of the first people to enter the office and one of the last to leave.

We don’t know much about how Tim Cook spends his weekend; But he loves outdoor activities and enjoys hiking and biking.

Fortune magazine wrote in 2012 that Cook vacationed at Canyon Ranch in Arizona; where guests have often seen him alone and working on an iPad.
