LG’s 2023 OLED TVs were introduced with more brightness and new software features

Last year, LG took the brightness of its G2 and C2 series TVs to the max and made significant improvements to its OLED models. Some of these TVs are among the best models on the market due to their deep black color display, excellent contrast and first-class gaming capabilities. Now, the question may be asked, what improvements has the Korean company applied to the 2023 model of its OLED TVs?

LG has increased the brightness of its new model of OLED TVs and has also focused on image processing and software improvements.

According to LG’s press release, the G3 TV replaces the G2 and uses a new architecture for light control. This product also uses light enhancing algorithms to increase brightness up to 70%. This number can be considered similar to last year’s B2 series, so the G3 is not a 70% jump from the G2, but it will be brighter than that. As mentioned, this product will probably have advantages over LED and miniLED TVs like Hisense U8H. The G series are currently considered the most beautiful TVs of this company in terms of aesthetics, and the G3 is designed in such a way that it does not have a significant gap when it is installed on the wall.

The LG G3 looks nice and offers great brightness, but if it continues last year’s pattern, the C3 OLED will ultimately be the product that most people will be tempted to buy because of the balance between performance and price. Like the G3, this model supports HDMI 2.1a and some image enhancement technologies have been applied to it, which will ultimately lead to better image processing. LG says these changes are thanks to the new Gen6 α9 artificial intelligence chip. In part of the company’s press release, it is stated:

The latest Alpha series processors use LG’s most advanced deep learning and artificial intelligence technologies to ensure excellent picture and sound quality. AI Picture Pro now performs better in terms of upscaling and displays dynamic colors better, helping reveal depth and detail in every frame. This technology is also integrated with image processing technology to detect and correct important elements such as people’s faces to provide better HDR quality. In addition to fine-tuning image reproduction, the α9 Gen6 artificial intelligence processor also provides the computing power required by LG’s AI Sound Pro; A feature that helps viewers immerse themselves in the screen by producing virtual 9.1.2 surround sound from the TV’s built-in speaker system.LG
