The most powerful configuration of the laptop has a 10-core processor (two of which are powerful cores). The use of the 12th generation processor makes the new Lenovo folding laptop have more processing power than the previous laptop. Lenovo has not only used a more powerful processor, but in the new generation of ThinkPad X One Fold, it has gone for a fanless design.
The most attractive thing about the ThinkPad X1 Fold 16 is the display of the product. This laptop uses a 16.3-inch screen with a resolution of 2,560 x 2,024 pixels. This flexible OLED screen is made by Samsung and achieves 600 nits HDR brightness. Lenovo says its laptop screen covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color space and supports Dolby Vision and a touch pen.

Lenovo says that it has changed the hinge mechanism of the ThinkPad X One Fold in the new generation so that this laptop does not have any protrusions in the hinge area when it is opened.
The most powerful configuration of the laptop uses 32 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and a 1 TB SSD storage drive and three USB Type-C ports, two of which are equipped with the Thunderbolt 4 standard. The Lenovo laptop accesses the 5G sub-6Ghz network through the nano SIM card.
Lenovo has designed the ThinkPad X One Fold laptop in such a way that regardless of the folded or unfolded state, at least two Type-C ports are available to the user. This statement also applies to product speakers; The new Lenovo laptop is equipped with three speakers with Dolby Atmos standard. Of course, in the unfolded or folded state, only two of these speakers work at the same time. In this way, regardless of the laptop mode, you will have access to Dolby Atmos stereo sound.
Lenovo says that it has equipped its new laptop with a five-megapixel webcam and an infrared camera, and in some of its configurations, it has gone to the Intel VSC system to increase security. Thanks to VSC, ThinkPad X1 Fold 16 can detect that the user is in front of the laptop and the laptop will be unlocked when the user is detected.
In the new generation of its foldable laptop, Lenovo has separated the base from the body of the product. The new base is magnetically attached to the laptop and, unlike the previous generation, allows the user to use the ThinkPad X1 Fold vertically and horizontally. Lenovo says that its new folding laptop meets the MIL-STD-810H military standard and is extremely durable.
Lenovo has decided to improve the ThinkPad X One Fold Bluetooth keyboard in the new generation. The keyboard in question was charged wirelessly in the previous generation, which was a very good feature, but it was weak in some areas. The new keyboard is much bigger and looks a lot like the ThinkPad X1 Nano keyboard, but it has one important difference: the touchpad in the new Lenovo keyboard is based on a haptic feedback system.
The keyboard connects to the laptop via Bluetooth 5.2 and it can be charged via the USB Type-C port. When you tilt the laptop to 90 degrees and place the keyboard on it, Windows 11 automatically moves the screen content to the top to provide a 12-inch view.
According to Lenovo, the ThinkPad X1 Fold 16 laptop will arrive in November 2022. The base price of this laptop is $2,500.
