The Tour One M2 is almost identical to the first generation; But with improvements. The headphones now feature JBL’s VoiceAware peripheral audio technology; Therefore, calls are better on these headphones. It should be noted that despite the addition of Bluetooth LE Audio and the new LC3 codec after implementation through a firmware update, there is no mention of higher quality codec support.
However, JBL has added several other useful features. The M2 features new JBL surround sound, improved battery life when using active noise cancellation (ANC), better ANC performance, and impressive fast charging. According to the company, this headphone offers five hours of playback time with a 10-minute charge.
On the other hand, the Tour Pro 2 has experienced many changes compared to its predecessors, the JBL Tour Pro+. Now the earbuds are designed according to the base design and then there is the charging case which is really unique. JBL has added a small touchscreen on the front that gives you direct access to several functions, including playback and call control, ANC mode, and notifications. This display also shows the connection time to the phone and the battery level of the case and each earbud.
Is it easier or faster to use the case this way instead of using the JBL app or phone controls? According to the company, it is seven times faster. Other changes include support for Bluetooth 5.3 with LE Audio and JBL surround sound, and improved battery life.
