Intel moves the frequency record again with its new desktop processors

The most important thing is that Intel will once again focus on increasing the frequency of its chips. The top model of Raptor Lake Refresh series desktop processors is expected to be released with a frequency of 6.2 GHz, and it is even possible that the frequency of one version of these chips will reach 6.5 GHz. This means that the frequency of the mentioned processors will increase by 7 and 3%, respectively, compared to Core i9 13900K (5.8 GHz frequency) and Core i9 13900KS (6 GHz frequency).
- The maximum frequency of Intel Raptor Lake processors is 5.8 to 6 GHz
- The maximum frequency of Intel’s Raptor Lake Refresh processors is 6.2 to 6.5 GHz
to report WccfTech, Raptor Lake Refresh series processors are likely to benefit from improved multi-threading performance and even more cache. According to some rumors, these processors will also use DLVR (Digital Voltage Regulator).
The Raptor Lake Refresh series of processors for personal computers and low-end workstations will be available in 35, 65 and 125 W models.
Intel plans to hold its next Vision event on May 9 (May 19, 1402); Therefore, it is possible that the details of the company’s desktop platforms will be presented at this event. Blue Team is planning to rebrand its Core processors and perhaps launch its new chips under a different brand name.
