How WhatsApp Reaction Feature Works on iOS

It has been months since WhatsApp began developing the ability to respond to messages using emojis. Even now, it looks like the company is almost ready to release its new feature.

According to 9to5mac, on the WABetaInfo Twitter account Screenshots of the ability to respond to WhatsApp messages for users iOS released. As previously reported, users can respond to messages sent, and this is limited to 6 waves. Existing waves are: “Like”, “Love”, “Laughter”, “Surprised”, “Sad” and “Thank you”.

As you can see in the screenshots, this feature works similar to the one in iMessage. Users must hold their finger on the message to be able to respond using one of the 6 available waves. Then, a selected wave appears at the bottom of the message as a user response.
