Set time and date on Mac
To change the time on your MacBook, go to Apple menu > System Settings and select Date & Time. Open the security screen lock in the lower left corner, enter your user information and enable Set Date and Time Automatically.
If you are connected to the Internet, the correct date and time will be set automatically. However, if your time zone or location is different from your current location, you may have to change it manually.
On the other hand, if your MacBook isn’t connected to the Internet, the system won’t automatically pick the right date and time because it won’t have a place to collect the data. In this case, you need to set the time manually.
