Information Technology Organization: Non-standard data centers of government agencies will be closed

After repeated requests to connect the devices to the “National Window of Smart Government Services”, the Deputy Director of the Information Technology Organization announced the possibility of closing non-standard data centers.

Hamed Mankarsi, the deputy of policy and accreditation of the Information Technology Organization of Iran, said: “The data centers of government agencies that do not meet the minimum standards have been identified and will be closed if the necessary reforms are not carried out.” These statements are despite the fact that according to the previous announcement of this organization, due to the shortness of devices, currently 53% of device services are provided in the national window of smart government services.

Referring to the responsibility of the Ministry of Communications in maintaining and maintaining the country’s information infrastructure, he said: “So far, more than 98 percent of government agencies and about 60 percent of their services have been connected to the national window of smart government services, which should increase according to the legal obligation of these services. “

Mankarsi continued: “Given that the national window of smart government services has about 28 million registered users and one person from every Iranian household uses the services of this system even in the most remote parts of the country; The necessity of hosting and maintaining the data of executive devices in data centers that have reliable, secure, protected, stable and standardized infrastructure is doubled.

The deputy of the Information Technology Organization emphasized the situation of those data centers of government agencies that are in poor conditions: “If we identify data centers that are far from the considered standards and it is not possible to correct them, The alternative solution is to use the integrated infrastructure of the super-government to have a significant coefficient of security and stability; They should provide their services by focusing more on increasing quality.

Mankarsi considered data as the beating heart of smart services and said: “We hope that with the participation and interaction of the Computer Trade Union Organization (Nasr) we can create reliable and stable infrastructures for data governance in these centers so that while the quality of smart government services increases, people can also taste the sweet taste of technology.”
