Honor 80 and Honor 80 Pro equipped with a 160 megapixel rear camera were introduced for vloggers

In its latest event, Honor unveiled its flagship foldable smartphone, Magic Vs, and the latest series of high-end phones in the Honor 80 series. In this report, we take a look at the Honor 80 and Honor 80 Pro models.

Honor 80 Pro

Honor 80 Pro is the most advanced model of this series. The Chinese manufacturer has equipped this phone with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip. The interesting thing is that the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip is a low-frequency model that is used in other flagship phones.

Specifications of Honor 80 Pro

Honor 80 Pro has a screen with a resolution of 1.5K and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. Its weight is about 188 grams and its thickness is only 7.8 mm.

Honor’s flagship is powered by a 4800mAh battery with 66W fast charging support. In addition, in the software department, it uses Android 12 and MagicOS 7.0 operating system by default.

Honor 80 SE has a dual camera on the front panel, including a 50 megapixel camera and a 2 megapixel camera. On the other hand, the rear panel hosts a large 160-megapixel main camera, which is accompanied by a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 2-megapixel depth camera. Interestingly, there is a unique 8-shaped camera module on the back, while the front has a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED screen.

Honor 80

As the base model of this series, Honor 80 also has some powerful features; But it does not have a flagship chip like the Pro model and is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 782G chip. On the front, there is a 6.67-inch curved OLED screen with a refresh rate of 120 Hz.

Like the Pro model, the regular Honor 80 uses a 4800 mAh battery with 66W fast charging support, which can charge the phone from 3% to 50% in 15 minutes.

Honor 80 has a 32-megapixel in-hole camera on the front panel. On the other hand, the rear panel hosts a triple camera including a 160-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 2-megapixel macro camera. The rear camera module of this model is also in the shape of “8”. Honor 80 runs Android 12 and MagicOS 7.0 by default.

Honor 80 is available in several different colors namely black, jade green, blue and pink. At the same time, the 80 Pro model also has similar colors. Both models are offered in three different configurations and prices as follows:
