Google’s controversial decision; Benchmark apps do not run on the Pixel 8

Blocking the installation of benchmark applications on the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro has prevented the tests from running; But some users have been able to bypass this limitation with sideload.

In the Geekbench 6 benchmark, the Google Tensor G3 processor scored lower than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 in both single-core and multi-core tests. Meanwhile, Tensor G3 has a newer and more advanced architecture than some of its competitors.

The difference in performance between Google and Qualcomm processors comes from architecture and lithography. The third-generation Tensor is manufactured using Samsung’s 4nm technology, which is not as efficient as TSMC’s N4P technology, which is used to produce the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor.

If you are a mobile gamer and play heavy games, Pixel 8 is not the right choice for you. The price of Google Pixel 8 is not affordable compared to the price of other companies due to its poor graphics performance.
