Ring Protect Pro allows users to store videos of the robot for 180 days and synchronize the robot with Ring’s motion detection sensors located in different parts of the building.
Astro Secure allows the robot to automatically patrol and move based on user-defined routes. Astro can also send alerts to the user and if one of the sensors is activated, it can go to it and see what happened.
Last year, Amazon tested a similar robot for homes. The Astro home robot is still only available by request through Amazon’s website for $1,600.
While the home Astro is only used to interact with people inside the house and help with some tasks and take care of the pet, the enterprise Astro robot is designed to move in sheds or large buildings and guard.
