This iPhone fell from the plane and remained intact!

Sean BatesOn January 8, 2024 (19 January 1402), he was enjoying a walk when he accidentally found an abandoned iPhone in a bush on the side of the road. At first, he thought someone had thrown it out of the car.

Bates wrote on the X social network: “The device was still very clean, no scratches on it, it was sitting under a bush and it didn’t even have a lock, so I opened it. The phone was in airplane mode and still had half of its battery left. In the recent programs section, I came across an email application that contained the Alaska flight travel confirmation code 1282.”

After following up, Bates said he contacted the National Transportation Safety Board and the federal agency and shared the matter with them. One of the agents told him that this is the second phone found in this incident.

According to CBS NewsThe iPhone found by Sean Bates was linked to the Alaska Airlines crash. Minutes after takeoff, due to the tearing of one of the two door support branches, the plane was punctured, forcing it to turn around and make an emergency landing at Portland International Airport.

None of the passengers of the flight were injured, but several objects were sucked out of the plane due to the difference in air pressure and fell from a height of 4,877 meters.

The accident investigation board stated that the reason for this lucky iPhone being intact was the negative acceleration of the plane’s engines and the forest surface of the crash site.

The transportation safety team confirmed during a briefing that both phones were found on the side of the road after falling from the Boeing 737. In addition, a school teacher in Portland also found the plane’s door in his backyard.
