Galaxy S23 Plus with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip spotted on Geekbench

The US version of the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23 Ultra were spotted on Geekbench last month with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip. Qualcomm is expected to make an official announcement at the Snapdragon event on November 15-17. Now the American model Galaxy S22 Plus has also been seen in the mentioned benchmark, which shows us some of its specifications.

to report GSMArenaFor the US market, the Galaxy S23 is known as the SM-S916U model and will run Samsung’s custom user interface called One UI 5 based on Android 13 by default. This phone will also use 8 GB of RAM, but it is possible that other versions of this device with more RAM will be available to buyers.

Despite using the same chip and RAM as the standard and ultra versions of this family, the Plus model of the Galaxy S23 series scored less than its brothers in the Geekbench single-core performance test, but its multi-core performance score is higher than the other two models. Of course, we should note that this information is related to the pre-production models of the next generation of Samsung flagships, and the performance score of the final version of these products may be slightly different from the current scores.

However, it is not yet clear whether Samsung will release the Snapdragon model of the Galaxy S23 series in all parts of the world. It is possible that some markets will host the Exynos version of these phones, as in previous years.
