Fossil announced that it will end its smartwatch business and use its resources to make products that are less smart. This company has been one of the most prolific smartwatch makers in recent years, and its absence could create a big gap in the market.
Amanda CastelliFosil’s spokesperson, in an interview with Verge site “As the smartwatch industry has evolved dramatically over the years, we have made a strategic decision to exit this business,” it said. “The Fossil Group will direct its resources to its core competencies in areas that still have great growth opportunities and will continue to design and manufacture casual watches, jewelry and leather goods with greater strength.”
